Over the last four months i have managed to break two of my pump up spayers the first was an Italian one sold by Alltec the handle sheared off when i turned the handle to open it after releasing the pressure   this morning the same thing happened to my Orion spayer which really surprised me as i like this spayer a lot its much better quality than my previous one, i have tried not to over tighten but often when i do this the pessure is poor so now i am looking at Pumps with metal parts and shocked at how much they are the gloria 10 litre is over £200, i am just glad i still have a spare orion both these spayers i inherited with equipment i got second hand so could be worse but still going to cost as i do not want to spend money on another plastic one.

Should i just get a Gloria if so where is the cheapest, or an alternative

Hi James, Have you tried using the Airflex with a lance.
Haven't tried it myself yet, but I am peed off with pump ups.

I paid over £200 for my Gloria 13 years ago and it has only just failed (seals need replacing for the 2nd time) - so they haven't increased in price much, in fact mine is only a 5 litre.

Well worth the investment.

Try Matabi, they are stronger and more durable than those expensive ones from Alltec (been there done that).

The last one I had lasted for years and was used every day.

Hi James. You take the solution feed hose out of the machine and put it into a container with pre spray.
Fit a lance onto the end of the solution hose and away you go, well once you let it run for a bit. I can see it being a big help on large jobs.

Just looked for sprayers on the web none of the carpet cleaning suppliers do "Gloria" sprayers why is this, if they are the "bees knees" then they should do them

I've had a couple of 10 litre Stainless Steel Glorias for about 7 years now. Just had to replace a couple of seals and 1 spray lance (but that was my own fault, for not treating it properly). Pay a bit more and get something a bit better, that will last in the longer overall.

I have had a 10 litre Gloria for more than 20 years now, the plastic base has worn away and the seal round the top leaks a bit, doesnt look good in a custy house but still use it for eot work.

Might give them a ring to see if they service/repair them, then get another 20 years out of it, then I can sell it to Joe for his last 20 years just before he retires.

that would make me 83 !! - I will be long retired I can assure you of that. 

I probably had my Gloria 7 maybe 8 years now and had to replace the external hose twice. Just a few quid.

I know its a big initial outlay but well worth it in the long run.

If you look on the link I posted yesterday their is a stainless sprayer about half way down... this is the same company as Doug has mentioned
