Anyone got any idea how to get bluetack out of carpet tiles?

Thanks

Same approach as chewing gum, but.... If they're bitumen backed tiles, big problem because you can't use the normal solvents, they'll end up making a nasty tar-like looking patch which you can't get rid of :(

The only way is to use lots of heat, still risky but not so much.

Hi

Clean alot of Day Nurseries where as you can imagine blue tac is a problem. Have found a steam gun, as sold by prochem etc, used with citrus gel and a bit of agitation, take care depending on carpet type, works very well. It can be a time consuming task so charge accordingly but it does work.

Regards

Eddie

Try this little steamer from Express Cleaning Supplies, use the steamer to get the lump of Blu-Tac off and then use something like Citrus Gel with a stiff brush to remove any residue that is left. I bought it for a pub the other week and it worked really well on chewing gum.

Prochem Solvall Spotter usually releases blu-tac from carpets. Just watch out for the possible problems already mentioned re bitumen backed tiles.
If there isn't enough time to do the job right,  how do we find the time to go back and do it again when the customer is not happy ?   Do it right the 1st Time.
