Why did you bother having the loop fixed to your belt Nat?

Whats that all about?

I had the tap on my belt,.. & the hose looped from it to the pole

Matt - thats not a bad set up for a tap but like Nat i hated the loop.

i've had the aqua daptor for just over 2 weeks and yes I DO save nearly 100 Ltrs ( not everyday )
but i now run a faster flow rate so rinse quicker and find more time in the day for an extra job and still get back
with more water in the tank and i had before.

I can't comment on a trigger as i never had one but i used to catch my hand on it or got in the way on those 'just about reach' windows,  the aqua daptor is sleek and does not foul anything - water control is fab, i now turn off while scrubbing difficult to remove stains then back on to rinse then off to wipe the sill - this is better as the brush wipes clean now in a single sweep without the water pushing out further cr@p trapped in crevis.

i think the discounted pricew is about right for the product - highe, i feel would make it too expensive and i can see a little mod i would like done to it ( just seeing if it's feesible )

I've never understood the issue with the loop actually, what is this loop problem that Im being denied  ???

Also with it being fitted to the end of the pole you've almost always got your hand on it anyway, but theres no looking for it as I said before, you instinctively know where it is.

i would have my hand on the bottom of pole that tap would get on my nerves holding on to that the hip belt is better by far the aqua seems really good

i found the 'lump' not suitable to the way i handle the pole, i just like to grip it properly,

the loop for me used to snag and tangle and prob didn't help when i tripped ar$e over t!t when it got in the
way.

Like most things it suits some and not others, I'm a lefty so things in the van suit me and all you righty's do nothing
but moan you can't use the hose reel the controllers on the wrong side of the van....  yardy yar...

Has anyone made a video of themselves using the aqua-dapter

on there pole and to how they switch it on and off?

just watched the video of the one aqua-dapter did on you tube and it is quite clear he left the brush laying on the upper window sill in order to reach to the base of the pole to turn it off! with the water still running? so how does this save you water, i am not for or against the aqua- dapter as it looks better than a tap etc, i do think though that it is being overhyped simply because it is better than a tap etc and does not save the amounts of water being claimed on here!

Futhermore for those of you who rinse off the glass! how do you then switch it off

Assuming a saving of 100 litres a day

Paul i doubt very much you will be saving that amount a day

as the amount of water used from window to window is minimal

Possibly not James but bear in mind that to save 100 litres a day, I would only need to save 50 litres a day in cleaning.  Whatever is saved in cleaning automatically doubles up as the RO is set at about 50/50.  I do work with a fairly high flow rate in order to lessen the chance of doing a duff job and to help me work at a decent pace so allowing for the RO waste, it may be quite possible to save the 100 a day.  I've never measured it though so could well be wrong.
Also, bear in mind that whatever percentage of water is saved, a gain of similar proportion would be made in resin usage and membrane life.

good post paul, as you know im trying one at the moment and it really does save water, i used another pole today without one and it wasnt as nice to use as the one with.
The best way to predict the future is to create it.

Spring snapped on my aqua dapter yesterday. Good job I had a spare pole to use as I couldn't use the one with the aqua dapter once the spring snapped.

\\\what about when your cleaning the window and your hose snaggs, and lets face it thats alot!! does the water shut off? and what about when your moving on to the next window, and it snaggs on a rock, does it turn water supply on?  just trying to work out if they worth it? Also, say i get a brand new carbon pole, do i really have to hacksaw the end of it to fit the aqua dapter and totaly invalidate the pole warranty? or does it just retrofit without damaging the pole?

That was something I expected to be a problem,.. but so far it hasn't happened to me once.

That would be a concern! although i think it is in theory a good product but not so much in practise!

I feel the product has been introduced to the window cleaning market to soon!

every other new product either fits on your existing pole or has an adapter to do so just like peters autobrush, so the idea having to chop bits of your pole makes me feel that it needs to be updated and more thought should have gone into it before launching it, am quite sure with the feedback that they are getting this will happen, until then i will stay with my trusted trigger.

I only use enough for it to stick out my pole when closed, then just attach my microbore to it and the whole lot goes up the pole without having to mess about with loads of excess pole hose.
I really wish I had got one of your gadgets instead of the increadibly crap autobrush I did get for 80 bloody quid with delivery, yes it includes a brush......which bristles warped in first 3-4 days !!!!  Your product would be ideal for how I use my pole, But really skint at moment  :(

Fitted the aqua-daptor to my SLX -25 - no hacksawing required,  Aqua-daptor guys really should
have thought this though as it keeps coming back as an excuse to rubbish the product.

the new SLX thread has a hole through it so the aqua daptor should go straight on, or simply warm up
the thread insert and pull off
i'm pretty certain this would be the same for any pole on the market.

i was going to use an auto-brush but wanted to fit it onto my brushes rather than get another new brush, but
the service was so poor i got the AD instead.

the produsct is extremely good - and as yet no complaints and loads of time/water savings.
