HI

You would probably be best getting a Merlin RO system, this will fill your tank pritty fast.

You will probably also waste 2 litres to make one litre

my reason being is that i also use the same tank for pressure washing and i didn't want to waste the pure water doing the pressure washing.

do some research on how reverse osmosis works on the net and you will be more able to make an informed desision, it will help you understand why it is best to fill your tank with water from an ro(reverse osmosis) rather than use an ro on the go. one point is that your 500l tank full of tap water will probably only give you 160litres of pure water.

this is a guess from what ive read but i think about 4 or 5 hours to fill 400l but matbe im wrong. easyclean has got a merlin hes the guy to ask. There are some prevous post about merlins. merlins are very fast but at the expense of tds i think they take the tds down by about 90-95% where as other ro's take it down by about 98% or maybe better. you have to research this it is a must, dont rush because you are going to need to spend £300-£600 depending on what you decide so you better make sure you choose carefully. Hope this helps
Oh did i mention research ;D

you really should get a RO, otherwise you will be spending all your money on resin

My Pentek R/O will produce 1000ltrs in 3hours at 80psi thats 5ltrs a minute.

My tap water tds 234 but after R/O is 0.02.

You are talking £550 - £600 for the R/O pluss 20" fillters ect.

Roy :)
