David,

Don't go for 150m of small bore, you will get a severe drop off in flow rate if you do.
Your long hose needs to be the standard bore diameter. Flow rate will drop off signficantly with just 50m let alone 150m :o
Pole hose can of course be the smaller bore type.

I have been using the top of the range, yellow Hoselock hose. well over 18 months now and not a single problem with the hose, and it gets a lot of abuse too, dragged across roads, ran over by cars and trucks, and still almost no sign of wear.

Tricoflex may well be just as good, many use it, but of course I can only comment on the hose I use!

Regards,

Ian

I'M using 30 metres of tricoflex 8mm bore on my hose reel and right up the pole too.
I only have a 60psi pump but still have to keep the variflow turned down. DAi
