New Start update

Hi
I just thought I would give you an update
Following your advice I took the plunge I started building a round up. I have forty Customers in a five mile radius with an average of £10 per customer. I’ve made a few mistakes with pricing (under priced). Overall I am very happy with things.
I use WFP system, OMNITROLLEY and trailer. I do take a long time cleaning windows because I still haven’t got used to trusting the system. That’s down to the fact my own windows always have spotting trouble, I do not know if this is down to me doing the wrong thing or that there is a very dusty building site directly behind me ( future customers I hope).
Anyway my customers seem very happy so far. I have been round twice on some, even had a £6 tip from one house for cleaning the green mould of the sills, Only lost one because she didn’t like the fact the windows were left wet even thou I explained this before hand.

I am taking my time building the round up just leaflet drops, I have six months in total to get a speed as I am on the new deal scheme so I can keep my benefits. When that’s finished I will get tax credits. The best thing about this I am still able to take care of my wife who is disabled, which was the reason, I started the round up.

I still got a lot to learn especially using the squeegee hopefully I will not upset too many people along the way. Any way thanks for the advice if it was not for this forum I would be stuck in the house all day with no future getting depressed and stressed. Now I can earn an honest living and take care of my wife at the same time and feel good about myself.

Thanks
 ;D ;D

Thanks for the update - it sounds like you're moving forward in a sensible and measured way - keep going and get some good gear for the winter! :)
It's a game of three halves!

Good luck on your new venture.
I started back up through the new deal scheme as i was out of work for three years due to an accident at work.
I am now earing good money and with the scheme you are on it does help as you have some money comming in whilst you are building your business.
When you finish the scheme they ring you every 2 weeks for a year to make sure everything is ok and if not they will try to help you sort it out.
And further support for another year if you need it.
I never needed the extra support but it's there incase you do.

So i was told by the business advisor i had on that schem is 90% of businesses succeed who do it on that scheme.

Whilst you are on there you might want to get on to the tax office as they do some free courses and it will help build your hours up and also business link do a few which also will help build your hours up
