Scorpion 3(Recoil) vs Eclipse
« on: September 07, 2005, 07:13:05 am »
Hi guys,

As these machines are about to go head to head in the same stable which do you think is the best and are they really any better than ,say the Alltec advantage twin vac?

Is the stable big enough for two triple vac beasts?

Cheers

Yes they are better than the advantage as they have more power but need three leads to include heat.  Also the price of all this is only a few grand from a new entry level truckmount.

I used to like the advantage, as I had one, but just bought a new Ninja with the heavy duty vacuum and 400psi pump and am very pleased with its performance more so than the advantage.

All the advantage needs is a bigger pump (but Alltec have been told this for years) and a plstic body.  Fibre glass is too easily scratched.

No disrespect to the advantage but it is not in the same class as the eclipse. The eclipse is the most powerful portable available in the UK fact

So is the Scorpion more powerful than the Eclipse.

What is the diffrence between the Recoil and the Scorpion.

No doubt we will find out soon enough after open day.

And see who will be the fans of the Scorpion  will be.

I would like  an independent report on which is the best Advantage, Ninja, Scorpion ad Eclipse.

I know send all Machines to Mark Roberts for testing... ??? ???

A Scorpion,  it will/does outperform all other portables out there,i use a alltec at the mo, and am convinced it will out perform that and also the minja, and a shade better than the eclipse, and comparable to some t/m!

Doug,
Re: is the stable big enough.

With the  investment so far this yr in excess of 300k and the opening of new purpose built stables, yes id say they are big enough ;D

I am worried about the draw on the customers power supply. Does anyone know what the total output is on either the eclipse or Scorpion?

just buy a truckmount.

electric portable,s are on their way out, look into the future.forget how much amps each cord draws, how to pull more vac through a 3 stage, upgrading to a 300psi pump.

there is only one way to go,offer a TRUE DEEP CLEAN to your customers.

Hope this helps

through my letterbox this morning came the September issue of Cleaning Matters.

on page 37, there's an advert for a t/m at four thousand pounds.

In the cleaning Matters advert which I have only looked at quickly I could see no hoses tanks etc. Not sure about heat. on the Spitfire truck mount

But if its £4000 fully operational  its got to be worth a look.

hi, only just noticed that my ninja runs two vacs and pump of one lead the other is just for heaters so why if the ecplise has no heater didnt they put  in 4 vacs instead of three one lead for two vacs the other for the pump motor and two vacs ?

Hi

When you see the size of the pump and its drive motor you will see why 8), 1 lead runs 2 vacs the other runs 1 vac and the pump, the start up draw on power is what could cause a problem once the motors are running the lower the power draw, under load they use less.

Hope this helps

Cannot comment re Alltec Advantage but I do have a Professional Plus. The Recoil is miles ahead of it in performance, simply no comparison. But in saying that The Professional Plus is still a good machine, if one only has a small job to do at a customers house, say for example a three piece suite then the Plus is quite adequate.
As one of the first owners of a Recoil in Europe I must say that Robert Mc Kane gave me an excellent back up service and I know that Nick will now continue to maintain the high standards already set for Recoil customers.
