im wfpoling nearly ALL windows now!!
« on: July 21, 2010, 05:53:30 pm »
nearly 6 weeks in and im wfpoling top and bottoms on nearly all properties now!windows are coming up much better than first cleans!

im using between 300L-350L a day at the moment with flow on 60(pure freedom digital controller).

ive noticed some spotting on some windows from my first cleans but custys happy second time round as they ve come up virtually spotless!

will they get even easier on third/fourth/fifth cleans?

60  :o

Mine is on 31 and it still delivers more than enough water. If I was to turn it up to 60, there would be water splashing everywhere.

Does this mean all flowmasters have flow rates regardless of the numbers on screen.??

I have my purefreedom flow controller on 60 nearly all of the time.
I find this the most efficient setting for the pace I work at.

All I can say is you guys are wasting a heck of alot of water or my flowmaster is wrong.
I can remember pure freedom telling me the norm was around 30-40  ???

My Pure Freedom controllers are set at 35 and dont have any problems. For new cleans i might increase the flow rate but 60 seems high to me too.

I think most of us spend similar times on windows.

I just think that if the flow is set to 60 then way too much water is being used and wasted. Maybe some of you guys should turn it down and let us know how you get on.

Forget your readings lads

you need to measure the amount of water coming out of your brush per minute.

should be between  1.5 - 2.0 litres per minute.

Thanks Bob I spent two years trying to use less water then had to work without a controller for a week. I will stick to what works best now for me and helps me work quicker.

oh and well done daz by the end of the second cleans you will fly through

lol @ window washers
Andrew Thompson told me to use it on 22 when I first bought my system.
I found this very slow and time consuming, I think it was Ian (Window Washers) who told me to crank it up, this in turn will speed up the cleans (same amount of water used just less time)

Couldn't agree more matt and window washers. Bob instead of us turning down the flow why not turn yours up and see what happens ;)

i like mine on a high flow esp when rinsing brush off which im doing on all windows at the moment.

ive tryed to rinse with brush on and i just left spots or brush marks so im sticking to brush off with a high flow.

im not bothered about the amount of water i use as i can always purify water on demand with my small DI and a couple of barrels!

good results im interested in both for me and the custy!and thankfully wfp does seem to be doing a good job on most windows second time round! ;) ;D ;D ;D

ive also still got a bit of  that newbie fear that if i try and skimp on water ill do a crap job!!! ::) ;D ;D ;D

daz i know you wont do this but it would be interesting if your custies were given envelopes and a pole slip inside rating your wfp against your traditional cleaning, you know to see what they really think without having to say it to your face, i still doubt that wfp can do a better job than traditional cleaning and i think your custies would tell you as much given this kind of vote, i think im right in saying you cleaned frames as well before going wfp. that said im am pleased its going well for you.
