What do they mean "deter".    Some of the old contact weedkillers they used to mix in with the sand are illegal as of march.

what weed killer do you use and wher can you get it from, i havent used weedkiller for drives yet but i do buy roundup glyphosphate off ebay for other applications but at £35 a litre  (dilutes well) i am wondering if i am paying too much or not using the right product.

Anyone who uses a professional pesticide product in the course of their business or employment may not use that pesticide or give instruction to others on their use unless they have received adequate instruction, training and guidance in their correct use.

In addition users of pesticides must hold a Certificate of Competence if using a pesticide if they :

◦were born after 31 December 1964; or
◦are providing a commercial service e.g contactors or anyone spraying on land that is not his or his employers.
Anyone who is required to hold a Certificate of Competence can only use pesticides without a Certificate if they are supervised by someone who does hold a certificate.

Only on your own property..Anybody else's property you need a PA1 & PA6A certificate. Weed killers from B&Q are still classed as pesticides.
