wfp trade show in the USA ?
« on: September 05, 2005, 03:28:25 pm »
Hi i am originaly from the north east of england.  Have been in the w/cleaning business some 16 years now.  For the past 11 years i have lived in Missouri a mid west state, summers are hot, winters can be very cold.  I have mostly commmercial work with yearly to 6 monthly residential work.
I would be interested in the wfp system but would like to go to a seminar or trade show and see some units for myself,
I know this is a uk site forum but does anyone know if there are trade shows in the state of missouri anytime.    I live 1 hours drive from Kansas City

Hi Mike

I know there is an annual window cleaning convention in the states every year, i believe New Orliens, but i may be wrong.

If you follow this thread link  http://www.cleanitup.co.uk/smf/index.php?topic=10429.0

and email Reuban and ask him to ask Craig when and where the next states convention is.  Hope this helps you

Andrew

Hi guys thanks for the threads i will check them out.

I am origanally from sunderland.  I met my wife who was over there for a vacation and we started writing and the rest is 15 year old history.
I like it fine here, the summer is hard on me i dont take the heat too great being from the north east, it gets over a hundred regularly and the humidity makes it like a sauna all the time.  But rather that than cold and wet right! ::)

I REALL MISS THE FISH AND CHIPS :'(

Thanks again for the help lads  Mike

Hi again.  I am due to return Sunderland for my nephews wedding in dec 2006.  I was wondering if there are any trade shows schedualed for around the mid dec time.  I would like to go to one, and if there are i will be able to right the cost of the whole trip off on my taxes as a business trip.
Anything to help with the exspense!! :P

My dad lives in Birmingham and i might be down that way too, so trade shows there would also be an option.

ANY HELP MUCH APPRECIATED.

       Thanks MIke

Mike,

I've just had a 'google' and couldn't find any at all for December - anywhere in the UK.

I know you're a Macam, but still I thought I'd try to help; even if I am an arch enemy; a Geordie.

But, Mike; if you read each WFP back posts (I know this may take some time) on this forum, then start re-searching each website that supplies them; I think this may give you an alternative option to a trade show.

Texas Girl, funnily enough from Texas says that because the majority of her work is residential and that they have 'insect' screens to contend with and that WFPs would not be practical.

As an overview to WFP; I find Matt's DIY Water Fed Pole site excellent.  It explains what you need and why.  You can find it here:

http://d.co.uk/

I hope I've been of some assistance.

Regards,

Tosh.

HI Guys i did read what Texes girl said about the wfp system in the states and i agreee that you just dont see it over here that much , but that dosent mean its not a good investment.
Like texes girl said the houses over here mostly have bug screens over either half the window, usualy the bottem half, or all the window.  I dont see this as being a problem becouse to clean these the conventanal way squeegy and all you have to go in the house anyway and merely pop the screen out first then clean the outside.  When you go inside to clean the inside windows you just pop them back in.  If i was using the wfp system the routine would be the same but the time saved on the outside clean it seems to me would be a great advantage.
I do have another question though.  Becouse here in the states people want the inside cleaned also, could i use a back pack and get away with brushing the inside also or is there too much water volume and mess to contend with.
What do you all think ?

Appreciatte your imput
