I've only lived here for 2 years, so dont have a professional bod to do me a letter, and I dont know any other members.

Silly, I'm sure you don't need to me a member to go to the exhibition!?
Given the contribution you've made to this forum recently I'm sure there will be plenty of members, if not Fed Committee members themselves, who would recommend you.
Can I suggest you send Bryan Dolby and/or The Fed Man a private message to see what they say about the recomendation issue - there must be a way round it for you!

The show is open to guests, you don't have to be a member, why not come along, find me and I'll see what the position is regarding your membership.

I am sure you can get someone to write you a letter would a chemist do.
If you join now you will have to pay again in June as thats when your membership fees are  due again.Why not wait untill the trade show all forum members could meet up and between us could sort your membership out
