ive been cleaning this guys windows for over a year and ive nearly got rid of him a few times.its a little cul de sac with five 4 bed room houses all £15 each.anyway i just knew id have a problem with him when i turned up with my pole!!

i gave them a double rinse and spent an extra 10 mins as it was a first clean and said to him ill clean the rest of the close and come back when theyve dryed and inspect them!!

he came out after about half an hour and said"i knew that pole thing was rubbish and wouldnt do the sills properly!"

i got my ladders off and had a look and all windows and frames and sills were GLEAMING(even in the sunlight!).

what he d found was a slight little bit of dirt engrained in right at the edge of the sill!(these upvc windows must be at least 15 years old!)

id had enough by this time and just said if your going to be that pedantic then you better look for another window cleaner!!and just walked off(he d payed me by this time though!)

another windy and a neighbour had warned me what he was like!i reckon his missus wont be too pleased with him when she gets back home as she knows im the best window cleaner in the area by a mile!

so for the forseeable future ill be pulling up every month and cleaning all his neighbours windows while his get dirtier and dirtier!!

i few other times he s been a pain and ive relented!not this time im finished with him now!!

still dont understand how somebody can be such a fussy old codger!!

you cant please everybody all of the time even though i do try when it comes to my custys!!

sometimes your better dumping them and moving on!!

What does my head in, is you know youve done a fantastic job and they stil whinge just because they "dont like the pole"

Fair does if we've done a poor job but come on if we've done a good job why be picky?

I did one a few weeks ago and she sent a snotty email cancelling saying she wasnt happy with clean, i apologised and said i will come and re clean to sort them out, she just refused!!! Obviously werent THAT bad then were they.

theres just no pleasing some people!

the great thing is 2 of the other custys down that close said the windows were great and one was well chuffed id cleaned his 3 little skylights above the kitchen!

No I am not blaming the system ... I am a newbie looking to start soon, I am comparing trolley systems and van systems at the moment and I am curious to know what Dazmond is using.

But since I have posted my original post I have been scrolling through the forum and I have actually found a previous post by Dazmond telling us about his set up.

I am leaning towards the Pure freedom trolley - just seems to make sense

i love my freedom trolley but i would get the 50L version like ive got then you can use it as a mini van mount with extension hose for the odd stand alone account.

im so glad i didnt get the 25L one as it just doesnt hold enough water!!

dazmond i dont think its mentioned on here much, but here goes the first time round with wfp goes ok with all the problems you already have experienced.

second time round is when you get the folded arms and scowl on the face at the front door with that pole thing is rubbish or words to that effect

but dont worry its just a minority and you will now have an idea on how to make the problems go away and be confident about it.

just keep calm when they say its crap and sort the problems and away you go

freedom trolley is a great bit of kit ut please please please if you have a van, get a water tank and a 25 litre barrel as well.
You will get physical ailments a few months or year down the road with a trolley and 50+kg of water and barrels. At least a 250 litre water tank is needed to go with the trolley. But the biggest you can get if you haven't much space.
Then plug the trolley straight into that for most jobs. Connect up a hose reel and you will have the best of both worlds. Van mount for speed and detatchable with 25 litres when you need it to be. Any other way will do in the meantime. But water tank is the most time efficient way to go.

i really dont think ill have many problems with custys as any mistakes i made wfp the first week i will rectify next week as im back round again and a months experience has been good and i know which windows might cause me problems!!

I am sure we all on here suffer the anoying custys,
most of them think because the way you clean the windows from the ground,
and your not runing up and down ladders you cant see what your doing,
so their not happy but as your round grows and you lose the odd one the new ones make up the losses.

I bought one when I first started then went on to a van mount never regreated it
