if you see a bee crawling around on the floor it dont mean its dying it means its really low on energy and needs suger,   if you put a small lid with water and suger in the bee will drink it and boost its energy,    a bit like what a can of red bull does for humans

dont forget the bee is out all day gathering pollum and uses all its energy up,  hence the saying as busy as a bee

we should look after the bees as we need them a lot more than we realise

bees are absolutely beautiful creatures and without them we would have very few flowers and fruit

Do you stand on them as they're crawling around in the heat?

I try to avoid them, but got one today.  I kicked into the grass and said a little prayer for it.

Did you say this popular Buddhist prayer?

May all beings be free from enmity;
May all beings be free from injury;
May all beings be free from suffering;
May all beings be happy.

This is quite a useful bit of advice too:

Shaolin Creed":
Avoid rather than check.
Check rather than hurt.
Hurt rather than maim.
Maim rather than kill.
For all life is precious,
nor can any be replaced.

I used to keep bees, I worked with a guy doing it commercially, we had 500 hives at one point.
We used to get stung all the time and not notice it, until one day I got stung on the cheek and the next thing I remember was waking up in casualty 1.5 hours later.
The most stings I had was 40 in one day with no effect at all, but suddenly my body said enough.
Even though I know they can do that to me I always take care of them.
Without bees we would loose about 30% of our crops.
