Yesterday I was cleaning a small unit on an industrial estate. On the estate there is a WFP supplier based who fit out vehicles, sell kit (poles, brushes etc) and supplies resin bla bla bla.
Anyway one of the sales boys there approaches me with a view no doubt to trying to secure some business off me as my van is sign-written etc.
He had the real real gift of the gab and I liked his positive attitude. But you iknow what I got thinking half way through the conversation with him that he had never done a decent physical days work in his life and probably didnt have the faintest idea of what working outdoors was like, what being self-employed was like and the concersn/issues/worries and priorities we have as self-employed people trying to earn a living in an unpredictable climate (be that the weather climate or the business climate at the moment).
I came away thinking 'who the hell does he think he is, he hasnt got a clue!!'
Would you fall for the gab of someone who worked in a suit?
