I have just got the Hf5. Running at 30psi the flow is great compared to my 300gpd it has doubled the output of pure without using a pump.

I have around 300tds and 50psi...so the HF5-4040...

I use an HF4 direct from tap and its fine, gets water down from 400+ tds to 15.

what was your pressure in to it and how fast was it produceing 1 litre of pure water ?

sorry, I don't know the tap pressure, but it produces 100L or so an hour.

depends on your set up and circumstances
if you need to produce water quickly hf5, if you've static storage for water and speed is less important then maybe an hf4 (apparantly produces water with a lower tds)
I live in a flat with no storage and so a fast production rate was needed so I went with the hf5 and hav'nt regretted it.

so wh setup you running mate with the hs5 50/50 ? 60/40 ?
