Happened to me and my mate back in the 80's. The motors stopped working and we were hauled through the window.
The joiner there had to take the secondry double glazing out first.

Mind it wasnt as high as that, the building was Scottish & Newcastle, roughly 110feet, we were about 90 feet up, high enough when you get stuck though :)

iv bin ther when it cort on safeld pole it wos a long cradl stoped moter on my side and the old poleish giy cudent stop his side looked up to see jib comeing over roof with out thinking i ran across picking up lump hamer bareged him out of the way beleve me thay dident repear it then thow hamer rite thue the window and i folowed it opened casment and grabed the stuped git in and all he coud say youv smaahed it  :o :o
