scrim bedding? New
« on: December 28, 2003, 11:05:34 pm »
Hey Guys
I was in MFI the other day and noticed that one of the beds had a cover a pillow cases made of scrim. Now this not only bought a smile to my face but I also had 2 thoughts 1) How comfortable is that going to be and most importantly 2) Is it cheaper to buy it as bedding and cut it up into metre lenghts?
Does anyone know the answer to this cause I have never even seen scrim for sale other than the hardware stores.
Cheers

I have never bought scrim in my life. I don't even think there is such a thing as scrim in real terms. It is just the name given to a drying cloth.
Many years ago I was told by an old timer to buy unbleached calico and boil it.
You get it from any fabric or dress shop and its pretty cheap.
Thats all I have ever used.
