« on: June 25, 2010, 04:33:22 pm »
When come to conclusion working on your tod earns ya more money, ive done 2 days with someone this week, 2 days without, and i earned more on my own and the extra i earned with someone else paid their wages, its just nice to have the company.

I find 2 men teams are always more profitable, I suppose it all depends on what sort of staff you have. It's tough goin on ur own day in day out, I couldn't do it...

theres no comparisom day in and day out
 imo
if you arent making money with staff you are paying them too much :)

even when working trad i do ups and lad does downs we easily do double what i would on my own , i could hit those figures once a week but not every day like i can with someone..

but maybe im not motivated enough alone... i like having someone to work with as i stay out longer and work harder etc but i couldnt get through my work alone now its too boring

I work on my own at the moment for one main reason.  I do not have enough work for 2 people (not enough for myself yet).  If I continue to grow like I am maybe this time next year I can look at getting someone else.  God knows who I am going to get though.

i much prefer working on my own!! ;) ;D ;D ;D

years ago i got sick of lads letting me down, doing a crap job, leaving gates open, standing on all the custys plants etc.

i must of had about 80 different lads over the years!

working alone is bliss for me...!!!

you can start and finish when you want and its a lot less hassle.ok maybe not as much money but im working on building a much more profitable round!! ;) :) :)

Everyone is different.... I like working on my own.... i enjoy my own company, laugh at my own jokes, have abreak when i want one, go home for lunch or even finish early for the day.

Monday im going to my kids sports day, then going round the shops in town to see if they need a window cleaner. If i had someone working with me i dont think they would be too happy having the day off.

anyone who works on there own and earns consistently good money is very motivated , my own experience is that once i took someone on my earnings have been far far better , simply because with a wage to find i work much more , its really a choice betwwen treating it as a lifestyle business or one where you want to maximise your earnings , single operators can of course earn very well but personally i suffered from loving the duvet to much regards alan

Ill admit having that someone with you keeps you motivated to stay out and yeh i suppose when i think about it i did earn more becaude of it. I just think when i get things sorted, i will send someone out on their own etc.

Freedom of being on your own is priceless though.

I find the boredom of working on my own does get to me every couple of months and I just do not feel like going out...having a scheduled round does help me get me out of the door each day as it is booked work.

Having a hobby/project on the go does help me get by...currently just paid for the g/f to have motorbike lessons then save for her gear & bike.

Am not at the stage of employing yet...am happy the way it is.

Dave.
