easyclean

i noticed your tranny do you have any rust problems on the outside as your paintwork looks good and it would be terrible to get a few rust spots which i personally associate with trannys well at least the ones ive looked at .
and do you have any reliability problems

HI Again Shawn

Do yourself a favour mate, save some pennys up and get the tank fitted properly. I would not like to hear you have had an accident and the tank has shot off. Don't forget mate, the weight of the tank increases the faster you go in the van. Keep the speed down.

Hi Again Shawn,

No problem about the help, anytime.

You should see if you have a local metal fabricator (iron monger/ welder). Ask them how much to have a support frame made. You will probably need it to go around the tank (because I don’t know if the cage on the tank will handle an impact?), or at least through the bottom of the caging.

It will need bolted down in all four corners. Under the chassis, they should fit large square sheets of metal for the bolts to go through.

I am rubbish at explaining and if I could do metal work I would make them, lol.

I will draw you some pics tonight and email them tomorrow for you. The main thing is, for them to have a minimum of a ten ton breaking capacity.

The easiest way, would be to ask Ionics if they would sell you their straps for the tanks, but I have a feeling they would say NO.

Andrew
