60PSI Versus 100PSI pump
« on: June 24, 2010, 05:02:55 pm »
I had a breakdown on my pump (100psi) and I have been using a 60psi pump for the last couple of months.

I have a large office suite, two floor, to clean, on a two monthly visit and the last time I cleaned it was with the less powerful pump. It took four hours, which is still good, as it is priced right.

I have cleaned it several times previous but just could not remember how long it has taken previously.

2.5 hours this morning!!! I don't think I need to say anything else!!!

If I'm reading you right your saying a 60psi is no different from a 100psi for your work? I'd agree unless your doing 3 or 4 storey work through 100m of 6mm microbore where you might notice a difference?
It's a game of three halves!

No Gold

I'm saying that there is an incredible 1.5 hrs difference on this particular building and I know on my small round it was taking me much longer to rinse and get each house finished.

The 60 psi pump got me out of a hole but I would never choose to work with one full time!!!

Nowt whatsoever to do with the psi of the pump, the rated psi of the pump is just the point that the pressure switch kicks in at, if you use a flow controller then it's irrevelant anyway.
The actual flowrate is what makes the difference

No flow controller. Don't know about the 60psi one but the 100psi is 9 litres per minute.

I might take my on/off out from between the water tank and pump then. I'd be finished in 45 minutes.  ;D
