Harris pole pics, on how too
« on: June 15, 2010, 06:53:02 pm »
Hi guys just thought as i was making some today i would post a few pics

cut off the top and the bottom of the pole

you will now need to drill some small holes to keep the screw part of the angle adapter in

finally hose up the pole and put angle adapter on ready for the brush

sorted  a new pole in about 10 mins and all for £15  ;D

andy, you do not need to cut the taper off, all you do is heat it up over gas fire, once very hot, almost melting point, screw the angle adapter on, run under cold tap,if need be repeat the process, until the adapter is well fitted, saves all that cutting hassle

Go to Asda and get a bentley broom, as ians video says, use the head off that, fits snug and also convert the brush  ;D a wfp brush for £1.77.

Pull few bristles out with pliers, drill 2 holes and fit some pencil jets in, bit of tubing and then a Y peice...easy

With jets and bits and bobs you can make the whole pole with brush up for about £25. Ive had my harris pole about 9 months now, think its great, its all i use, and the best bit is, if it does break its only gonna cost me £15 to replace that and swap the bits over.

If you wanna go spend £120 + on a pole that does the same job be my guest lol. Thumbs up for Harris poles.

they are 16 and a bit feet and if you add a no 5 unger tele plus pole around £20 you get just under 23 foot
