 I have been asked to clean 5 chandeliers.. the lady is too old to do it herself. She said they are good ones and that she has them in her 1 bedroom flat? Anywa supposing they are good ones does anybody have any cleaning tips.. waht should I use she reckoned she used to use methylates spirits?.She  said she use to do them her self by going up a step ladder. Help please!!

I've done one, used A frame ladder, trigger sprayer and wiped each and every dangly bit with a microfibre cloth. Watch out  - power off and make sure you pre-inspect cos sometimes the bits are attached with little wires and the cloth can get caught up in it and then whole thing starts wobbling about.

Not much help but that's what happened - it was an EOT

When I clean my own I use a product bough from my local supermarket, sorry cant remember the name but its simply sprayed .allowed to run, a spray with warm water  mixed with some white vineger and simply let dry.

this seems to do the trick for me but I aint no expert..........   having said that I know a man who can, dont know his number but his address is

when cleaning chandeliers, use two buckets, one with beer glass cleaner and one with the rinse agent, remove each line of crystal individually, dip, wash with soft cotton cloths, drip in rinse agent and thoroughly dry. leave to futher dry on white cotton cloths. Once completely dry hold upto the light and inspect, then if you are happy, re-hang. Remeber chandeliers only rotate through 180 degrees and they are counterbalanced. Only work in a small area and replace all removed items prior to starting on the next section. It may take 8hrs to clean just one!!
