Lost my first customer ARRRGGHHH !
« on: August 25, 2005, 09:30:52 pm »
Well it happened , i can sense a certain w/c in St Ives sn****ring away now !
Yes you know who you are DAVE !
I only had them for three months , the reason behind the loss was not the quality of the job but the fact that during the winter months the dirt that was washed off the windows and sills ran down the walls and made them dirty !
WHAT A MUPPET !
I didnt even hang about and try to explain about the pure water , not worth the breath was it , i hope her rubbers rot and her windows fall out !

I think that is really sad that you cant use a word that is in the English language , and it has been for donkeys , i bet it is all to do with being P.C ,
Please mod explain what the reason was .

Oh well if there is no answer ,  then i can only assume that the site intervenes if a word like black comes up , a few of my closest friends are black and i reckon they would take more offence to the way that word was modded than if it was just left alone , what do you all think ?

 By the way Dave , what did you do to your poor cat ?

The problem with trying to type "s n i g g e r i n g" is that the forum parameters see the combination of letters making up "n i g g e r" even though they are part of a legitimate word and automatically replace it with "black person" giving "sblack person!" (As you can see, putting spaces between the letters fools it!)

Try typing D i c k V an D y k e or C o c k n e y and see what you get - it's quite funny.

Also it leans towards American English so e.g. F a g (British cigarette) is interpreted as homosexual in American English and is thus changed!
It's a game of three halves!

 Don't worry about that first customer lost.

Law of averages and numbers show that ALL companies in all areas gain and lose customers.

It is all about numbers. As you are in business longer it will bother you less.

Hard to do; focus on the positives so you don't miss them!

Hugs;

Squeeky;
I am up and down emotionally all summer and probably will be for a while but I have turned the corner and healing has begun.

A message loud and clear entered my mind in large bold print one day"FOCUS ON THE LIVING'. A message that is noticeable and clear and repetitive is a message from The Lord.

Most of us think we know it all so we do not listen for the answers. Anyway, I am on the path to healing and rejoining the window cleaning force.

I love this business. After 25 years it excites me! I have been off the sites for about 3 weeks.

I know your hearts will blead for me when I tell you that we are having a very large beautiful inground pool built.

Almost like building a house in a way. Costs too much, but you can't take it with you can you?

What a nice thing to come home to after cleaning windows in the heat. Come home to your own sports bar and swimmer's paradise.

Over here the trend is pools that blend into the surroundings; waterfall edges; disappearing edges; a lagoon look but really unique.

Yes, you all will cry and think "what a horrible way to live" Cold beer or margarita or pina colada every day while resting after a long day' s work.

If ever any of you make it over to Texas you are invited to stay here and chill for a while. I will treat you to a well deserved getaway.

Maybe if the trade show is in Texas we can hook up!

Sorry I lagged off the calendar because last month was a tough one for me. Then I began changing my focus and it is so much better. Life is good! 8)

Been busy with work and preparing for the fall rush of residentials. The fall/spring customers are all due. Hundreds of them. What a blessing.

Ya"all take care and I hope you made a lot of $$$. this week.

Hugs to all,

Texas girl :-* :-* :-* :-*
