Help!!!!
« on: August 24, 2005, 04:17:30 pm »
Hi guys,

I had a call earlier from a property services company, they are converting a victorian building into flats and would like me to give them a quote!

I went and had a look and there are fifty windows all about the average size of a new house. Its a three storey with windows in the basement as well. Now the builders are still there at the moment and judging by the state of the glass the first clean will be a nightmare so I will be quoting extra for this, also access round the back to a couple of windows is slightly restricted by the design of the building.

These guys want a quote ASAP, I was thinking £200 first clean and £175 after that, they want it done every other month! Apprentley I'm not the only one giving them a quote but I could really do with this contract at the mo! So my real question is, do you think I'm charging the right amount or am I way off?  ???  Any help is much appreciated!!

People often ask for prices on the forums, what really helps is a picture or two.

If you really want this contract then price the job as the minimum rate you will do the job.

I think that may be a bit too much ,i would price £1.00 per average
size window and probably £2.00-£3.00 per window for third floor.and that would make about£30.00+per hour .if they are desperate you may get the job until they are desperate no longer.
