if a custy phoned me up just to clean 3 windows i wouldnt bother doing the job unless it was next door to existing custys.if it was every time i cleaned next door i would knock until i got paid and never go back.if it was out of the way(i wouldnt have done the job in the first place!!)i would just forget about it!and learn from your mistakes!!

are you a relative newbie??

Maybe I am too laid back, but I would (and do) just walk away.

The windows won't stay clean for ever, and when she begins to see the dirt accumulating on the windows, it will be a constant reminder to her of what she did to you. I would tell other w/c's too.

There are enough good customers who will value your service to allow you to waste time chasing after one wrong'un. You will end up spending more money chasing, than what the job was supposed to pay in the first place.

She wasn't straight with you in the first place, surely you should have looked at the state of them when you got there and said I can't do those for a poorly fish! (6 quid - sick squid  ;D )

sure that wouldn't have stopped her not paying but even if she had, you've grafted for an hour for a measly 6 quid, hardly being fair to yourself mate!

I do not agree with "revenge" methods as I feel it gives all window cleaners a bad name.
HOWEVER!!!  Having read your account of things I would have to make an exception to my rule. If that were to happen to me I would be so mad I would enjoy a little fun at her expense.

As long as the "pranks" don’t course damage she deserves all she gets. The first thing I would do is return ALL the dirt you took away. After all, technically she still owns it as you were not paid to remove it.
A few buckets of muddy water thrown all over the windows should do the trick.
Then text her to ask if she wants a window cleaner.  ;D

this is why i never quote blind, even so it sounds like renovation , not cleaning, would have adjusted price , or turned it down.

I had one like this once.  Usually I just walk away, but this one got right up my nose because he gloated.  I daubed mud over the windows I'd cleaned, then wrote S***T BAG LIVES HERE right across the upstairs windows.

It was there for weeks until the weather blurred the lettering - the neighbours love it - they'd all suffered at his hands and it gave them something to gossip and laugh about.

There was a bit of "aggro" and threats, until I pointed out that old gits like me tend to have grown up kids, and both my sons are built like brick out-houses ;D

find a local friendly pest controller and ask if when he does the next bed bug job to save you 2 in a sealed envelope then just post the letter when she recieves an empty envelope she'll naturally shake the envelope open, letting your 2 friends loose !!
they really are a bugger to treat  ;D

As you been knocking on the front you should of gone around the back and knock everywhere downstairs windows etc...Grease and earth mixure and chucked on all windows and even post some through the letter box lol.

And inform any other wc in the area so they dont get stung by that customer
