Forget my last posting on this thread.

The sun came out just before two o'clock!!!!

Went to Stafford and attacked the days work with gusto, [plus a bucket of jollop, applicator, squeegee and scrim].

Oh yes! and an *rse pocket full of receipts which I gradually exchanged for beer tokens as the pm ground onward.

Just about to eat, have bath, and redeem some beer tokens. Lovely Jubbly!!

Here in Brighton the day started dry and mild but that all changed at about 11'ish.

We were doing mainly commercial work so we got soaked but at least we finished early.

Am off to have a siesta.  ;D

Cheers

I saw Ian_Giles in town soaking this morning.

We were rained off the windows, so I knocked Wor Lass off and went and did a gutter and soffit clean.

Thing is, the last house we did in the pouring rain, and the customer smiled, passed pleasantries and paid us!  No problem.  Wor Lass hates it though; makes her hair go all 'curly' like the stuff under my armpits!

So, by the time I'd finished the gutter and soffit clean (underpriced at £60 - it was a bugger), the sun came out so I started where we'd finished this morning.

I've started advertising gutter and soffits on my chits, and have two in the bag, and three waiting to hear from.

I think I'll save those for when it's lashing down.

Unfortunately no windows for me to clean today so I went out canvassing in the rain and ended up with a bag full of soggy flyers.  Mind you I did manage to create a nice papier mache version of a lump of poo. Simple things.....etc..
