6.not securing ladders on roof rack and stopping at a crossing and ladders shooting forward and just missing the old lady crossing the road as well as putting a dint in yer bonnet!!(true!its happened to me once many years back!!) :

PR surely you can go back to trad for downstairs work if you miss it that much.

i know you have health/injury problems but surely wfp tops/trad bottoms could be possible??

Ian... TRUST ME! if i could still use a ladder, i would gladly SELL off my wfp gear  
the 1 thing i like about it is...... i can get leaded/georgon windys done faster    thats as far as it goes 4me

those annoying things are in the past now for me, but have found annoying things with wfp.

getting pole hose tangled

my reel keeps falling over in van

freezing hose in winter

apart from a few things i love it and wish i changed over years ago

dog crap the whole way up the ladder and you only notice it when the hands hit it on the way back down

for me they are

1 waiting for people to move their cars so I can put the ladder up and clean the window

2 not cleaning windows that the roof is to wet or slippery

3 knowing I have to go all the way down to the bottom of the ladder just to move it a few inches as I cannot reach all the window in one go

4 hate leaded windows

ive never left a squeegee on a window sill in 16 years!i use a boab!

or left ladders at a job and forgot to pick them up!

or put my hand in dog muck that ive trod up the ladder!

or put scrim over my shoulder!

still there is time!a month to go before the changeover!!

glad i am not the only one, one time pulls up at junction on busy road, hear familiar sound of ladder sliding forward, then see it shoot of roof rack , scraping bonnet (on a new berlingo multi space that was only a few mths old ),luckily, gap in traffic , so no cars hit , or driving over it.

2nd time pulled  out of a custys , onto a fast road , you know the type, small gap in traffic so you floor acelerator,  this time forgot to strap 9 ft a frame on , came shooting off, turned round further down road , went back to retrieve it ---to late lorry drove straight over it
