Hello you crazzy lot :)
« on: August 23, 2005, 08:54:41 pm »
hello troops found this forum a few days ago and was stunned that such a website exsisted (grate what you can find while googling aint it  :))

well im 24 years old and done nothing else but window cleaning since i left school, apart from a car mechanics corse but after that i run for my ladder :D, my old man was a window cleaner when i was a kid untill he fell ill so he got me started really told me the pitt falls and wot-not, so ive been doing it for some time now (well it feels it) and love my job.

im completley self employed and work alone, so it was great to read the posts on here with other WC's stories of there quirks of the job and best of all troublesome customers (chuckles)

well thats about it really apart from im married with one 4 year old daughter and another sprog on the way so i have got to run up and down the ladders double time now :( ;) ... just thought i would introduce myself to the tribe and apply for a WC's badge and t-shirt :)

regards
Rick

Hi Rick, welcome aboard the good ship Clean-it-up.  :)

How come all the new guys lately don't fill in any of their profile?
Nice to know where they're from, age(if they want to) etc...

Roger.

Rick - a/s/l?  We like our n00bs to be pretty hunky.

 ;)

Graham, you make me laugh mate, despite what anyone may think.  I'll be deleting this post later after I think you've read it.  Call me an ass-kisser and I'll delete all your threads this evening.

Regards,

Tosh.

well im from the west mids live here work here, from what ive read it seams im in the worst place as regards prices, i read a post on the london area and you guys seem to be able to get a deposit on a new JAG for a 3 bedroom semi ;)...

just today a woman came running over and spilled my favourite line of all time yes you guesed it  "are you a window cleaner" eeerrrrrr now i just carry this ladder and bucket round with me for the crack :D.... oooohh the pockets? naaa there just a fasion thing going on right now hehehe, anyway she asks "my windows are filthy..... so i gave here a price of £6.50 pretty cheap i thought but she exploded into a rage at wich point i said sorry for upseting her and went on my way...

ok the house was small but its not the seventies anymore and i got a family to feed.. so yea im from the west midds as regards age im 24, if people hide there age it normaly means there just about to hit the 40 bracket or are beyond it HAHAHA, so when i get there ill be making mine hidden :( thats if i dont kill myself first that is,.

im looking for a good pic of a window cleaners van though for my prifile as i dont think my little astra is gona cut much ice with you posh guys LOL, ive been thinking about getting a MGF convertable but you just carnt get roof racks for em :( ;D....

oooooooooooohhhhhhhh...

grate stuff ill make some notes up for my customers with the web address to prove im a pro and put the price up by a fiva :)...

oooppps just read the small print...

section 27G

The release of the cleanitup web address to any customers of yours or anyone not directly conected to the window cleaning industry will be forced to clean "real leaded" windows for a week solid in direct sunlight without payment, then will be castrated with a rusty salmon tin.

this is due to the fact that any customers viewing these forms maybe shocked at what they read or find them self in the customer of the month thread YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

better keep stum :D

And you have to lick those leaded lights clean so as to get lead poisoning which we window cleaners all need to be so careful about!
It's a game of three halves!

well im sorry if you get leaded poisoning of the tounge thats your fault!!!! you should buy a tounge sleave from S.I.R you can get them for 15 quid so no excuses, personly i have the £40 version which is heated for the colder months as we all know what its like to have your tounge frozen to a pain of glass :D
