Sub Contract opportunity Liverpool & Newcastle
« on: May 25, 2010, 01:04:39 pm »
I've got an office I'm visiting in Liverpool next Tuesday and I'm subbing both the office cleaning and the window cleaning. The site is going to need an initial clean and I need a quote for both this and the ongoing daily cleaning. Site visit is scheduled for 1:00 and I'm looking for up to three companies to submit a price.

The Newcastle site has only just been refurbished and as yet has no tenants so I just need a price for the window cleaning and internal cleaning of an empty (carpeted)  6000 sq ft building over two floors. There's no indication yet that it's going to be occupied so no point in talking about the daily office and regular window cleaning at the moment.

My new company has a name now (yay!) so anyone interested in this work please drop me an e mail at callum.macleod@amfacilitiesmanagement.co.uk or call me if you prefer on 07717 754 473.

I got someone for the Newcastle job and that's being carried out tomorrow but I didn't get anyone from here regarding the Liverpool office cleaning which was quite surprising. I got a couple of window cleaners for Liverpool (thank you gents) but getting office cleaners is surprisingly challenging in what I've always thought of as being a major city. Even good old Google didn't appear to throw up the dozens you'd get in any other UK city.

Anyway, all that by way of saying that the only quote I got for the daily office cleaning (which was from a Google search) is at a fairly high price and I think I'm going to be better off employing someone directly and sending the supervisor up once a month, which was what I was hoping to avoid.

called him on Friday and he's calling me back today; if he doesn't then I'll phone him. The job is becoming a bit time sensitive now so I'll be pleased to cross it off my list.

Thanks to Ste M but I was a bit wary of the time lag between linking all parties to reach the office cleaners; I appreciate the offer though.

Got the carpet cleaning e mail, many thanks. It won't be needed straight away but its good to know that it's there.

I tried phoning Matty a couple of times on the 7th but didn't get any reply so went with another sub contractor; I'll keep his details for the other buildings up there. Many thanks for your help, though.
