after posting on here for a few years starting as a newbie, the answers and support have enabled me to build a thriving business.
but lately something like a dictatorship is arising on here,i apologise if that is to stronger an analogy.
 this is a cracking forum no doubt but all aspects of our job and equipment MUST be allowed to be aired.
by doing this it is the only way we will develop our equipment and move our industry forward in the future.

if any thing its good for them there latest poles come from a period in there time where they have had to up there game due too there new competitors.

our industry has moved on at a pace in the last couple of years due to the demand for example light weight poles.
 how long have we wanted them?? ok no ones bothered so we,ll make our own then.
 some one says erm maybe a market here... invests....someone one stays still gets left behind...but the possibility of a light weight pole was mentioned firstly on this very forum.  FORUM to discuss ideas. show you how to make one maybe.
not to take money off a national company but to help our fellow cleaners.
    we need to just think about what this forums all about... open discussion we may not like some of it but as adults we can make up our own mind.

I agree with you Suds there is something going on in this forum so many good guys gone I wish I new were they have gone to. Never heard freedom of speach. ITS THE LAW!!!. The only time to muzzle is when people threaten each other and are personally rude.

There's room for everyone on there. Helpfull advice on a whole range of topics and you can be critical of certain companies as well without fear of your post vanishing of the face of the earth.

While I'm no fan of restricting what's posted here, the general rule of just about any large forum is that you shouldn't post links or advertise any similar forum.

I help moderate an alcohol recovery forum and they have a strict no links what-so-ever policy, which I think is sometimes a little too strict, but it does prevent any arguments where there maybe a grey area.

I've been a member of this forum, pretty much since it started, and I've seen the history of why this 'no advertising other similar forums' is in place, and I agree with it - or at least I can see the reasons behind it - and if anyone did want to find another forum, a simple google will sort it out.

If you Google Matt's DIY WFP site, it's easily found.
