just had a bailiff turn up at my door saying i owed 475 for a speeding offence, this is the first i heard of it, phoned courts they say i have to pay bailiffs now not them great for a fine off 60 any way agreed to pay wednesday, must say he was a propper idiot i dont want to pay him i want to pay there fees any help guys

you have to pay it mate theres no way out of it, but you should of recieved a letter of some sort from the bailiff office,dont forget bailiffs can only charge so much.

nothing u can do, if he is from the courts he can enter your property and add more fees on,  what the courts are doing now is when they fine u they are making a collection order at the same time, so if you dont pay they just send bailiffs

if u say any thing to him, they just call the police and get u arrested why they empty ur house,  would he not take payments

if it wasnt a fine from the courts then he couldnt enter ur house

just keep ur cool, pay the bill & let it just go away. if u say u didnt get any letter they wont belive u, so
dont even bother wastin ur breath. & make sure if the bailliff come back u dont get charged 4 that visit
as well, cause they can.

First thing I would do is ask to see his ID and check out he is who he says he is.

Once you've established that try to find out the details of the alleged offence, it could be some sort of error.

I have had more than my fair share of run ins with bailiffs.

I was told my our local county court bailiff there would be no point at all in trying to remove articles from my property to sell as doing so other costs would be incurred, as Ive already explained, only making matters worse.

A bailiffs job is to reimburse their client not to make it harder to gain any outstanding funds. Bailiffs are not what most people like to portray them as.

They'll take a look, assess the worth of articles in a house and make their decision based on that. Lets face it a second hand TV dont get diddly-squat.

Someone has to pay the lock-smith, removal men, van-hire and storage fees. It is pointless and they know it to try to make it harder to reimburse their client.

all u will do is make it easier 4the bailiff in the end, cause there costs will go through the roof. i used 2 take the cars      if they didnt give me the keys i used 2call out 4a highab..... yet even more costs.
u will not win

When i got to know that the courts took me to court without informing me, i was told to applied to my  courts in which i went to court and they quashed the £1,750 pounds.
This was for a car i sold years ago and it was for none tax and moving the vehicle away.
You have to write a letter to the court to appeal and they give you the date for your hearing.
