Shirt off or not...
« on: May 20, 2010, 11:46:33 am »
How about you lot?
Now I'm not sure if this is just cos I'm an old fart. But I never take my shirt off, and wouldn't like it if someone working on my windows did.

Saw a guy the other up a ladder with his shirt off, and I thought it didn't look right, if I'm honest I was probably jealous as he was younger and slimmer than me.  ;D
In the 7 years I been doing this I've never seen the need

My lads have to keep shirts on and although I can't make them do it they are given written advice to use factor 50 sun block.

I got a small skin cancer a few years back through exposure to the sun. It was really scary and all my own fault. Luckilly it was a type that if caught early the cure is almost 100%.

Always keep shirt on as doesnt look good if you had your shirt off. There is an impression of appearance to keep up.

I have to put my hand up I do take off my shirt when ever possible.

I agree it don't look good but I've always found people are glad to see me with my shirt off. But then if I thought the customer would mind I would put it on.

Case of judgment I think. I am going to order some vests when I next order uniforms.
