Well i have been told that i can fill the bottle 4 times with a 25L bag, so that i assume means that it is a 6.25L bottle !
Just out of interest , if i fitted another bottle of the same size what would be the benefit if any ?

well for a start it would double the resin ,the first bottle will do most of the work and the second will help to poliish off. so there is more chance of the resin not missing any tds in the water  when you increase your flow rate.(i`m no expert  just what i have reseaeched so far).
there was another thread on here recently about the benefits of running two bottles together.
i will see if i can find it

So from that i take it i could just fit another bottle after the first one and when the tds crept up i would place the older bottle 1st and new bottle 2nd ?

HAS DINNIE BOY GOT IT RIGHT ?

yes the second bottle becomes your first bottle.
the first bottle gets new resin and  becomes you second bottle.

PLYMOUTH DINGBAT WANTS TO MAKE SURE HE GOT IT !

PUMP#OLD RESIN#NEW RESIN#BRUSH

WHEN TDS GOES UP AT BRUSH HEAD REFILL OLD RESIN AND PLACE WHERE NEW RESIN WAS.

SO IN SHORT THE OLDER RESIN WILL ALWAYS BE FIRST IN LINE .

 DID I GOT IT !       Rich P @ F

NO I GOT THAT WRONG , CHECK THE TDS AFTER THE FIRST BOTTLE , WHEN THAT CREEPS UP , PUT NEW RESIN IN IT AND PUT IT WHERE THE SECOND BOTTLE WAS AND THEN PUT THE SECOND BOTTLE WHERE THE FIRST ONE WAS .

NEWER RESIN ALWAYS IN 2ND BOTTLE .

no the tds can rise up a lot higher in the first bottle as long as within say 75% of you tap tds  it should be still  ok . basically you are taking the pressure off the second bottle by reducing the tds of the tap water before it goes throygh the second bottle. i would look to start replacing as it gets near that figure as it means the resin is nearing saturating point. but the most important thing is the tds coming out of the second bottle

what is your tap tds mine is 73

Dont matter what brush you have, just insure you clean it or dip in some pure water inbetween jobs, as for the runs its more likey you have not cleaned the top frame well enough. This is the most important part clean it well and rinse the whole lot frame and glass, if you just rinse the glass after cleaning the whole lot then good chance of issues.

Good luck
