Take a picture of the offending item and email it to Alex, you know the service is good and they'll change defective products.  Keep us updated on the clx, wondering how they compare to the slx.

I had the same looking brush...a very thin coating on the back of the bristles on the stock....just though it was a new design, i.e. making it lighter?  ???

I'm not as keen on the new brush either, definitely less stiff, splays much more but still better and lighter than the majority of brushes I have tried!

it could just be to save on weight but it could be possible to cut yourself on this one if you grabbed the stock of the brush wrong, the staples are tiny, but very sharp.
then I would call Alex or his girls and say about it, I am surwe they will ask you to stop using it and send it back.
The lady I was speaking to today was as helpful as anything today

I just recieved my new C-LX 22' today and it seems a nice pole, only done my own windows with it so far, so i'll reserve judgement til I've had it longer, however, I ordered it with a dual trim mono superlite, and the quality seems far inferior to the previous 2 I had.

the bristles seem quite soft compared to the others, they are cut quite unevenly, and sharp little staples from where the bristles are fastened in are sticking out of the back of the stock.

is it just me, or does anyone else think they feel and look a bit cheap for 30 quid !!

not sure if I should send it back, maybe I just got a bad one ???

bristles: they are soft for a reason, so they splay and have good glass covering

uneven: Alex calls it "micro-variation bristles", it is an effective way of giving it far far more scrubbing power

staples: it's all in the name here "SUPERLITE", to keep it superlite, as little plastic as possible is used, this means going all the way down to the staples, the Tucker brush is the same, ive never cut myself on these brushes.

I personally think this latest brush is the best Gardiners have ever made, and its very very similar to the Tucker dual trim.

I have just got a new super lite duel trim today,

I can see what people are saying about the staples that stick out, even thought he one I have it really is not noticable, I would say Alex does need to look into that asap before he gets in trouble for it, a little super glue over maybe or a warning attached to cover his but.

As I dont stroke my brushes I have no problem with them, if this is anything thing like the one I already use every day I will be well happy and money well spent, I will be putting it through some tests and if it does not meet what I expect I will be shouting about it at the same time I will also say if it is as good as the last model which is fantastic.

Can I also say, I ordered in a rush yesterday and got it this morning.
