It really depends on how much water you are using?

What TDS water is going into the TDS filter?

650lts per day. I make my water at 002 rising to 005 at  the end of the fill. What i did yesterday was remove the pipe going into the resin filter and took a reading  before resin and it read 006.  The filter has been on about 3 weeks and it's nearly brown from blue. I'm still getting 000 after resin, but my last resin filter only lasted 8 weeks, surly it should last longer than that, as my first filter lasted 8 months. I'm thinking it could be the roback filter putting higher tds water back in to the system as the reading i took yesterday was 006 befor resin.

Hi - at the moment our TDS filter is also lasting no time at all - about 3 fills and its gone, they used to last month's.
We intend to replace it with a resin tank that holds about 25 litres of Dowex MB50, It might not look as pretty, but it will definately work better and last a lot longer.

I have heard we are not the only ones with resin not lasting with the pro6. I think it's all down to that ro- back filter putting crap water back in to the tank. Yes Darren I'm probably going to do the same. I'm sure i can make it look good. I really rate ionics but this resin issue is really letting them down.

Its a big earner for them.
I think the older systems were better in the fact that they used DI tanks instead of the linear filters.
Personally I have never liked the colour change resin.

What a dreadful reputation Ionics seem to have on here. I always thought they were the bees knees?  ::)

Dave i think your a bit of the mark. Its a resin issue not the whole package. I have had a long chat with ionics today and I'm told of what i can do to improve the consumption of resin, which includes fitting a DI,as it turns out it's really quite simple. But surprisingly your knocking them.

I'm not knocking them at all - you guys with their kit are doing a good job of that.

I contacted them when I started up amongst others. Found the guy on the phone very good. If I had the money back then I may have gone with them (they are just down the road).
I had always been told their equipment was the best but reading the posts on here, they don't seem to have got it right lately. One guy complaining his pole was crap, others complaining their resin is rubbish, someone else complained of poor customer service - they couldn't work because the resin tube they sent was broken and had to wait days for a new one. - I didn't say that.
