«

I have been offered a 60ft brodex carbonlight, but its a telescopic pole (closes to about 13ft) for £425(second hand- v. good condition)
What do you think of that?
I ideally want a modular though. anyone selling one?

I need one for a regular job I just got in.
Do you think its a good deal? How heavy would this be compared to a fibreglass?

I guess it depends on your finances really mate. If you have that amount to spend buy it and save for the pole you really want. If you have more invest in what you want now. easy

Are the graphs on this site accurate??
http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=Super-Lite+window+cleaning&form=QBIR&qs=n&sk=#focal=f0c2422c508b0be5655949752f580c28&furl=http%3A%2F%2F1.bp.blogspot.com%2F_dNiTtZsfa2Y%2FSMFxN67quqI%2FAAAAAAAABSk%2FxRDa2E9n80I%2Fs400%2FSuper-lite_complete_kit_item.jpg
If so the superlite is by far the best...?

If it's a regular contract and a good earner, get a SL. Fibreglass at that height would be impossible to use very heavy and floppy. Telescopic carbon would be better but nowhere near as good as an SL. You would need regular tea breaks with the telescopic where as the SL you can go all day albeit you will have one massive crick in the neck whatever the case.

The job I have in is a 3/4 story clean 6 monthly, and another job i might get is a possible 6 story clean every 6 months too.
So its not very regular, but I dont want to buy a pole for the 4 story and then another for the 6 story job. I just want one pole for everything, thats why i want a modular.
Does the hose on the outside just cause problems?

Why not buy the size you need in the sl and then if the bigger job comes up just buy the extension sections as needed. A superlite will be under 1/2 the weight of the other pole and a lot more rigid plus you only lift the pole you have on. Your speaking of lifting a 60ft tele to do 35ft windows, ouch. The hose on the outside is a pain at first but ok once you get used to it, I doubt many people use the supplied hose ties.

I have been on their site, but it says to buy sections 1, 2, 3...etc. I dont know which ones to get. It does seem like it would be a lot more expensive doing it that way mind.
I think i will have to buy the biggun'
I better do some canvassing for high windows to pay for it.

The first 6 sections are all different, however after that they are exactly the same. So if you only needed a 35 foot pole for the time being then you can buy the first 6 sections as a 35 foot pole. If in the future you need to go higher then you can buy as many extender sections to suit. £89 + VAT ouch.

It is cheaper to buy the pole in one hit though if you really know you need a 60 foot pole, but it's good to have that option.
Are you sure the brodex pole is a telescopic as when I've searched carbonight it comes up as modular and looks very similar to gardiners.

Yeah im sure it is telescopic. Im questioning whether it is a superlite though!
Im concidering buying a cheap 35fter now, and wait until i definatly get the go ahead on a larger job.
Know any cheap 35fters?
