This tank has been used for pure water only during the past 4.5 years. It is a basic IBC in a cage.
Condition: It's had several holes drilled in the top for transfer hose and electrical cutouts (all since removed but obviously the holes remain). Also, there is a small hole high up on one side where I had a ballc0ck fitted. The neck of the IBC has been split (under control) so that a sub pump could be lowered in. The lid still screws on just fine though. If you choose to fit another ballc0ck, the capacity of the tank will be c. 850 litres. I'm sure the side hole could be plugged if required (it's about 16cm from the top). The outlet fitting is still attached to the bottom and has never leaked. There are a few bits in the bottom of the tank so you may want to flush it before use but it's worked fine like that for years.
This tank has been functioning perfectly well even though it's been drilled a few times. I would have kept it but I have recently moved all my kit elsewhere. This IBC would have been too wide to fit through the door at the new place so I had to buy a narrower tank. This is the only reason I want to sell it. If you don't fancy relying on plugging the hole high up on the side, it might suit someone who prefers to use a ballc0ck.
