yellow/orange mould on stainless steel
« on: May 08, 2010, 01:04:27 pm »
hey everyone,

We clean  a communal area in a block of flats. Its 2 storey building inc ground floor. Today when we was cleaning lift inside we have noticed some very strange yellow/orange mould, it also had very strong metal smell.

I'm very pizzeled what it could be, as we never came accross this before. The only reason for this i can think of is due to the lack of ventilation in the lift, but i'm wondering if some one here came accross this before and know what is the cause and how it may be treated?

many thanks
regards,
dash t

hi there

is it by any chance urine, depending on the type of development, lifts sometime seem to be mistaken for the toilets.
