  Has anyone here baffled a water tank themselves? If so how?

  I am considering buying a 454 litre coffin domestic water storage tank as they are alot cheaper than others I have seen.

Use osma soil pipe, cut it to lenght and build up like a honney comb effect.

Then your tank will contain tubes of water, and will stop all slosh.

Dude don't do it. I used a loft tank for my first system and they are really difficult to seal. I've ended up sealing them with gutter sealant, using self tappers to hold the lid in place and then sealing the outside with industrial grade gaffer tape and water still leaks out. Spend more money on a proper tank and you'll be a million times happier!

Loft tank
insert plastic (upvc) facia board under opening inside tank, secure using 10 cable ties and seal edge with adesive sealant, cut hole to fit soil pipe cap (the ones with a srew top) into facia board, seal edge of soil pipe cap with adesive sealant, do the same on the other opening without the soil pipe cap.. job done No leaks..

 These tanks have a snap close lid to them, I have been quoted 118 pound inc VAT at the local plumbing suppliers.

  just looked at the website, these tanks are fully moulded with 2 small lid on the top, maybe a problem to baffle but wont leak!

As Ken said been there done it with same tank, you cant stop them leaking.
