firstly how much difference does a turbo nozzle make? and how careful do you have to be with ur flat surface cleaner that you dont fetch any cement out between patio slabs?

The turbo nozzle is probably the best investment i ever made it makes the job so much easier.
You shouldnt do any real damage to cement between pavers with a flat surface cleaner unless the cement is already broken up.
I usually advise the customer after inspecting that some cementing may need to be done after cleaning and i have had no problems as yet.

i plan on telling them everytime that any grout between slabs or block work there is a possibility that it may come loose when washing and may need replaced. if they ar enot happy with htis i will not carry out the work

Inevitably when pressure washing you will always remove some grout or sand. If it comes out it will need doing soon anyway.

Few tips though.

Always weed kill a few days before doing the job.

The more pressure you use the more of the surface layer of the slab you remove. This results in the slab soiling up a lot quicker.

Either use a steam cleaner, this means cleaning at high heat and low pressure thus removeing very little of the surface layer of the slab and cleaning very effectivly. Or after pressure washing let the surface dry, sweep and then roll on some patio cleaner availible from B&Q
