i used mine on my back for a few mths , quickest way of cleaning windows, but your back will suffer in the long term.
use a van mount these days, and still use back pack for stand alone jobs, but carry it.

Don't mess about with a backpack, get yourself a van mount. And backpacks are no way faster than using a van mount!!

they are on domestic hoggy :) :)

seriously though it depends on your work
70% of my work in birmingham is 2 and 3 storey town house
with access to the back every three houses, backpack is
def king on this type of work.i use toshes method of strategically
dropping barrels then pick up backpack sling over shoulder off
i go.

normally only two movements per house, when i was using
microbore i was constantly fighting every obstical going and
never liked the idea of draping hose everywhere.

on stand alone jobs, larger domestic properties i would
say van mount has the edge

but on the whole i am happier using my backpack :)

only sling it over shoulder to where i am cleaning then put down
saves your back and lot quicker for refilling

so what one have you got? do you just plug the pole in and turn on? and just go round a house in one go? must save having to avoid the junk in the gardens that the hose normally gets stuck on

I've got the window cleaning warehouse one, I use it on a handtruck to save my back, I started out with it on my back, but it is heavy going after several hours of use.

I started out with my W C W backpack on a folding sack truck from home Base 32 quid. and ten metre hose and can do front and sides from one spot then move the truck to back and do the same. .It will stand upright in a car boot when handle is down.

Not the way I do it there not Gary!!! I started off with a back pack, and I would never go back to working that way!!!! My round is quite a mixture of different kinds of properties, and I can only think of about 2 where a backpack would come in handy!  But if your happy lugging your water around with you then carry on me old mate!! I'll stick with my microbore!!!  ;)

Seriously........ I hav eused a Backpack ever since I started WFP in May 2006 and I won't use anything else.

Before I was WFP and BP I suffered from a stiff back in the morning...........not now ;)

The trick is............DO NOT LIFT IT FROM GROUND LEVEL!!!!!!

I have mine mounted on the back of my trailer and a transfer pump from my tank....easy peasy??

I'll sort out a photo some time

Hello David, how you doing mate? I've seen the photo's of your trailer and it looks very good, but not as good as my van mount!!!!!!! Seriously mate, why don't you get a hosereel and microbore hose and connect it up to your back pack and try using it as a van mount just once, so that you can see how much easier your life would be if you had a van/trailer mount?? I will never forget the first time I got myself a hose and connected it to my trolley in the back of my van, I couldn't believe how easy it was and felt foolish for struggling for so long with trolleys and backpacks... I never looked back!!!!!!! Try it mate!   :)
