External window blinds made out of cloth type material
« on: March 28, 2010, 09:36:24 am »
Hi,

I've got a residential job in London tomorrow for a customers second house. But his secretary asked me to clean the external window blinds as well. Apparently they are made out of the same material as those big cloth umbrella's.

Being a window cleaner, I usually don't do these jobs, so I don't have the faintest idea of how to clean these.

I've got a waterfed pole system, plus backpack. So I'm wondering if I should treat it first, then rinse and scrub it off with the wfp?

Any ideas please.

I did a big sun canopy that sounds like the same gear and I did that with non caustic tfr ( diluted correctly for the tree huggers ) and pressure washed it with low pressure so WFP should be good

Yea I was thinking something along those lines actually. I will try it on a small area first, see how it works.

I hope I've got non caustic lol.

Did the clean today, I let the TFR do it's work for about 6 minutes I think. It came off pretty well, it was a black sun canopy, so much for blinds lol.

The black was green, and the doves had a go at it as well. I should have brushed it a bit, but it still wasn't too bad. Quite a bit of mold still on it though.
