My Escort van is on it's last legs so I'm looking to upgrade. I've had a useful year and a half using my wfp which has clarified a few points for me: size of tank, set-up of system, layout etc and the importance of sealing the floor! I have a budget of £3000 for a new (to me, anyway) vehicle and would like to get opinions on reliability, running costs etc. I am looking to run at least a 650 litre tank although may get a 1000 litre and part-fill. I have considered a Nissan Vanette as it is fairly compact but a friend of mine tells me that he had some problems with one that he ran and heard similar stories from other contacts. Can anyone illuminate me? I must confess to not really fancying a Transit as they just look a little to "bulky" if you know what I mean, althiough there are about a million available for my budget! Other vans I am considering are the 1.9litre Peugeot and Fiat vans. Any comments?
As for tanks I have thought about the "lay flat" tanks that are now available. Anything to look out for, and who does the best prices? The other option as I mentioned above is to get a 1000l tank in the cage and part fill it? Again any feedback on this would be appreciated.
I was going to look through the posts but noticed that there are now 60 (!) pages of threads! How do any windows get cleaned in this country?!
