I love the bit about the windowcleaner working on his own has to be contacted every hour to see if he's aright.

Who writes this junk?

It may sound like junk dave but it is safe practise,

what would happen if someone was working on there own and slipped and were knocked out, he could be lying there all day, thats why the point of contact every hour is used

it is recomended advice that any lone worker should be contacted regularly during the working day. i am pretty sure this advice was taken form the suzy lamplugh trust  by the goverment  after suzy lamplugh disapeared.
