TRAILER QUESTION-Driveway set up
« on: March 01, 2010, 09:34:27 am »
I am thinking of setting my gear up on a trailer. The reason being is that i need my van for other things with  the driveway cleaning being part time and not worth dedicating the van space to  permanently.
What i want to know is what would be the smallest, lightest trailer i could use that is enclosed. This is just to carry a honda gs machine, water tank and hose reel,i can carry the easily removed gear in van.
What is the smallest water tank that will give me more or less the same running power as the wheely bin i have been using?
Does anyone else just pull a trailer set up?I don`t really want to drag a huge box trailer about, thanks Dan

i'll take some photos of my trailer,in fact,i know i posted some on a earlier post once,it doesn't have a tank built in,thats my new project for this year.

I'm the same as you,my van gets used for other things i did have it all one the back once ::),but when i built the trailer i found it so much better ;) esp when you have to go to the cafe to get the bacon rolls in,you can leave the machine on the job and shoot off
Been there,seen it,done it,just cant remember when

Had 3 jobs booked in today worth £600 so going to trailer my gear so i`ve got the van for my other work and just potter on,i think when the phone doesn`t ring all winter you feel like chucking it in,i just think it will be too painful turning work away when the sun starts shining,ha ha.At least with a trailer i can park it up and not have to empty the van for my other work, also i can drop a lad off at ajob with the trailer and let him get on with a job if i`m busy.I`ve got about 5 printed concrete jobs booked in that need sealing as well so i don`t want to let them down, sorry DS i was on a downer that day,ha ha,Dan

Ok DS,thanks mate,i might sell up but i will give you first option,i just need a clear van for new work i`m doing which is all year round, pays better than DW cleaning and is a lot easier, going to look at some trailers.Up the wall at the minute as i`m moving to lytham.

it sounds good dan, get your flyers round all the posh pads and do all the massive drives. :D
