13hp tech clean pressure washer exhaust problems
« on: March 01, 2010, 09:20:42 pm »
i cut a hole in my van floor to expel the fumes via a metal flexi pipe attached to the exhaust muffler on my 13 hp honda pressure washer. jan from tech clean said i should not have the exhaust running down through floor as fumes and the heat rise so im affectively causing a problem. the machine fumes want to rise but they are being forced down so it can cause the machine to not work properly.

also i adjusted the throttle screw by mistake so the machine is running at higher revs than should be and my machine is dripping from everywhere. think its under to much pressure.  the throttle kept slipping back from full bore so i tightened the nut up .

anyone else have any thoughts on exhausts fro pressure washers other than going up through the roof?

who would i see about making an exhaust through my roof if necessary? :-\

I have my diesel machine with the basic exhaust pointing out of the van and open the side door as well as the back two and the fumes just go out the back of the van.

Do you really need an extended exhaust?

Who in their right mind would tell you its better not having an exhaust at all  ???
Would you thing it might be a little noisey, these engines run for ages with the stock exhaust and they are designed to work as a unit and by messing around with things will surely cause you grief. If ti ain't broke don't fix it

they said i should just have the fumes blowing out of door. not to add an extra piesce of pipe onto what is already on.
