How exactly do you baffle a tank? Can it be done diy?

Its easy to do yourself all you need to do is fill the tank with tubes and fill the tank up so it looks like a honeycomb, make sure that the water can go over the tubes so leave about 6'' from the top of the tank to the tubes.

WILLIAM: BAFFLE TANK WITH METAL PIPE? isnt pure water more corrosive than tap water and wouldnt rust affect your tds reading?

I'm not to sure on this one.
But you could fill the tank up with small plastic/rubber balls, it should have the same affect.

As williamx says, plastic tubing is ideal for baffling your tank. Not too sure about plastic balls, though, wouldnt they just roll around with the movement of the water?
