Ninja Water Pump.....
« on: February 12, 2010, 02:57:42 pm »
Hello All,

My water pump on my Asbys Ninja has finally given in after 8 years, not bad. Its seems that the only people who do the same pump is ashbys and they are after £400.00, which i think is a bit over the top. So....

1) Are there any other pumps that will fit into the ninja?

2) How hard are they to fit?

All the best, Warwick

Which pumpis ut that you have on your ninja at the moment?  Have you tried Dual Pumps, they supply all different kinds so may have one to fit yours.  * years old = £400.  thats not a bad deal really to be honest.  I imagine that your machine is the 400psi type.  If it was the 100psi surflow pump you would have probably spent £400 in 8 years on replacing the pumps or parts.

1) If there is physically the space, any pump will fit.  Has to be same voltage and gravity fed, basically any smallish diphragm pump

2) Easy in theory, but if you end up having to fit the hoses to the elbows it can be a right git.  Best doing that bit out of the machine, you have to undo the hoses from the other end and then re-fit when you put the pump back inside.

What pump are you replacing?  Where did  you get quoted that price?

8 years old is surely too old to be a Pumptec.
it must be a Flojet 100 Psi, or Shurflo.
Fit a 135 Psi pump just make sure the thread
for the fittings is correct.
If by any chance it is a pumptec
