I usally go to 015ppm and was told once 035ppm was ok by a supplier. So 016ppm should be ok, Test it first on your own home.

Now as it it going in to the tank at 000ppm and then coming out at 016ppm tells me you have comtaimanted it somewhere.

Give your brush head a good clean in some pure water, might be that.

Hi

I still get the reading if brush isn't attached. Straight out of van outlet.

Dominic.  I came acroos this on ebay about what someone has done to alter their system.  I've no idea if it's applicable to you or not as I don't yet use WFP.

The relevanbt bit read

"changed the hose lock connector from brass to plastic cos brass connectors mess about with the tds readings. "

Maybe someone who knows more than I about such things could comment on this.

I dont know much about wfp but I reckon you should change that brass connector to a plastic one, as the whole idea is to remove metal from the water and using a metal one must be washing metal bits back into your purified water.

Is the tds reading at 16 once it has been running a few minutes?  Are you using the hose to fill your tank with tap water?  Have you tested the water when it is still in the tank?

Hi

Peter the built in tds takes the reading at the tank and then the pocket tds takes the reading out of the brush. I had 000 at the tank and 016 at the brush. I ran the system quite a while and still got same readings. I use a different hose to fill the tank.

That's a good point about the brass connectors Shiner I'd not thought about that. I might try changing them. The only thing is that I was getting the same reading out of plastic as I was out of brass so not sure if this is the issue.

I think your right Graham it's somewhere as it comes from tank through last stages.

I rang manufacturer today and they said stick with it for another few days cos this system has more hoses cos it is heated so can take longer to settle down. So I'll just see how it goes. They are being very supportive which is a relief.

Cheers for input

I changed from plastic to brass as the plastic connectors were not lasting.
I find the brass connectors better and i get 000 reading.
I also have a brass tap on my tank and it is not affecting the reading at all.

Have you checked the tank water with the hand tds meter, maybe
one of the tds meters is not 100% correct setup.
