Tap connection Question
« on: January 16, 2010, 04:00:22 pm »
I need to replace my tap on my wfp system.  When I comnect the pole to the the tap, the quick coupler keeps popping off in use.

I have I guess standard size hose from my tank then the uual clear hose from my pole.  When I order this I have to order the quick couper q21 seperate. I have to chose btween 6mm and 8mm.  Which one fdo I get?  what size do I need to connect that thin clear hose running from a pole?

Good,

Mine is set the other way round as I connect the tap to the 8mm hose.

Anyone know what size coupler I need to connect the tap to the clear thin hose on the pole ?

I have just been invoiced for a faulty quick coupling the same from WINTEC. The fitting keeps coming loose I had not even used them yet as I did not have a back pack at the time. .I THINK WE ALL NEED TO TAKE note of the inferior product  we are been supplied. This company has a bad attitude to its customers. They start telling me what I will have to pay and how I must protect it before they have even seen what’s wrong with it .There postage is also excessive as I paid 90 p to send it to them by post  and they charge me 495 p to post it to me. Its not just  is it. I will be thinking twice for I spend my cash with them again.

I would just go to Gardiners mate.
I don't get what you're asking though really.
If you mean the brass hose tales then why not get one of each or just get the smaller one and if it's too small just put a one inch length of pole hose over it and it should fit in minibore hose. That's what I've done before.

But I don't get why the rectus fitting is popping off. I know sometimes on mine the female doesn't spring back properly and lock into place.

Hope that helps.

The male part is faulty and will not couple properly.I dont think the wintec parts are not rectus 21 or 26.Google Rectus 21 and find a suplier.

So from your first picture you mean you need a Q21MF Adapter?

Nice find!
I was looking for one of them the other week. I ended up swapping all my poles/hose fittings around so I could easily buy everything from Gardiners. I was looking for rectus fittings. I wish I'd known they go by another name.

I have dealt with Wintecs for many years and have always found their service second to none. They must be slipping.
